EGG, China Beidahuang Potato Group Signed MCT Supply Agreement
EGG signed a Microtuber (MCT) supply agreement with China Heilongjiang Beidahuang Potato Group on 12 September 2014. EGG will supply MCTs to China Heilongjiang Beidahuang Potato Group in 2015. Starting with this agreement, both companies will begin producing healthy vigorous seed potatoes for the market.
Beidahuang is a conglomerate of state-owned agribusinesses based in Heilongjiang, China. It was listed among the top 100 pilot enterprises of large sized enterprises in China. Total asset is over RMB 50 billion, with total sales income reaching RMB 26.8 billion, ranking first among the top 500 large-scale agricultural enterprises. Total land area is 5.5 million ha (12% of the total area of Heilongjiang province). The cultivated land per capita is 1.34 ha, 16.4 times of the national average.
