EGG, China Beidahuang Potato Group Signed MOU on JV
In 2015, EGG signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China Heilongjiang Beidahuang Potato Group.
The agreement was signed for the “establishment of seed potato production joint venture”. Both companies have developed strong business relationship resulting in the MOU. Starting 2015/16, two companies will produce and supply various varieties of seed potatoes based on the agreement.
Beidahuang is a conglomerate of state-owned agribusinesses based in Heilongjiang, China. It was listed among the top 100 pilot enterprises of large-sized enterprises in China. Total asset is over RMB 50 billion, with total sales income reaching RMB 26.8 billion, ranking first among the top 500 large-scale agricultural enterprises. Total land area is 5.5 million ha (12% of the total area of Heilongjiang province). The cultivated land per capita is 1.34 ha, 16.4 times of the national average.
