In February 2017, EGG signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Suppro, in order to introduce Pomtato, a hybrid plant between potato and tomato, to the Korean market. By signing this MOU, both parties are excited about the prospect of using EGG’s microtubers for Suppro’s Pomtato. Additionally, EGG has supplied Suppro with samples for product testing and Suppro stated it would purchase pre-agreed amount of EGG microtubers for the first phase of its business.
