EGG signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Agroidea, a Colombian company on 8 November 2013. EGG and Agroidea will cooperate on business development in Central and South America. Starting this year, EGG is expected to export mostly Colombian variety microtubers to Agroidea.
Agroidea is a leading tissue culture company in Colombia, owned by the Nannetti family. The Nannetti family acquired the Floramerica-Sunburst group of companies from Dole Food Company in 2009. Nannetti family created FCG, the Flores Colombianas Group in 2007.
